St. Mary Academy - Bay View Athletics celebrated three student-athletes as they signed to continue their careers at the college level.
Madison D'Ambra (pictured above), a senior at Bay View, and a member of the Bengals Crew team signed a National Letter of Intent to row at Syracuse University. Syracuse, which competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference, finished the 2017 season with its third-straight appearance in the NCAA championships, where it finished 16th overall. This fall, Madison became the first Bay View rower to break the twenty-minute mark in the 5k, breaking her previous record from last fall. She also holds the team record for the 10k and novice 2k (7:41.4). D'Ambra sits five seconds off of the school's all-time 2k record, which she is working towards breaking before graduation. In addition, she is also a four-year varsity basketball player earning All-Division and All-Class honors last winter. She is 137 points shy of adding her name to the list of 1000 point scorers.
Chloe Watson (pictured above), a senior at Bay View, and member of the Bengals Crew team signed a National Letter of Intent to row at the University of Rhode Island. This fall, she recorded a season's best and personal record of 20:47.0 in the 5k. Chloe played a significant role in helping Bay View qualify for the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta–the largest two-day rowing event in the world. She also finished in the top half of junior rowers at CRASH-B Sprints. Chloe is an outstanding student and an accomplished violinist. Her musical accolades include bronze 2016 in Violin Trio at Solo and Ensemble, silver 2017 in Violin Duet at Solo and Ensemble and gold 2017 in Violin Solo at Solo and Ensemble.
Antonia Corsinetti (pictured above) will conclude her career as a four-year varsity letter winner, and a dominant force from the three-point line. During her time at Bay View, she has earned All-Division and All-Class accolades during her sophomore and junior seasons. Antonia is the last of three Corsinetti sisters who have competed and help build Bay View basketball into an elite program. She will continue her career at Rhode Island College next fall.
